Insecure dependency in open while running setuid at /var/wwws/cgi-bin/neomail.pl line 2775.

I am running Neomail on RH8.0, i keep getting the following error message:

Insecure dependency in open while running setuid at 
/var/wwws/cgi-bin/neomail.pl line 2775.

and neomail wont display anything (although it does display the inbox when 
i first log in)
It looks like others had a similar problem from the archives, but i 
couldn't actually find a solution.
can someone help?
