This means, that neomail couldn't close a filehandle or something other, that has "opened" (in the meaning of perl) by neomail before. Most often this indicates a permission problem. > > > > ....why i get this message ??...all email posted come without problem..is > > just this error message.. i don't undestand why is displayed... > > > > any suggestion welcome...thanks.. > > > > regards > > > > Mirko > > I get a error message every time i want move one or more message from the > inbox to another place like trash or sent box.... > > Curiosily this error appear only if the interface are in another language > then english.....but not sure... Well, you are the person to test it. So if it's a language dependend problem (i don't think so), you should try it out with another language, and tell us, if the problem is the same as in english. > > Why i get this error ??? > > please help me..i can not delete my message and my inbox start to be very > full... As a last resort you could login to your machine and delete your mailspoolfile manually. Well possibly we could help you better, if you gave us more informations. (That's the reason, why i didn't answer on your mail from march) I can't speak for the other persons here on the mailinglist, who regularly answer questions (hello Mark), but i would expect more informations from poeple, who wish to receive help. I can tell you my references and what i would like to see in such mail: First look in the mail archives !! No HTML mail (it's intersting to see, that some poeple who want's to use neomail write with "HTML on"). Please respect the netiquette. Please use a subject, that indicates your problem. A subject like 'neomail does not work' isn't helpful for the archive search. Tell us about your installed software. It is often helpful to see, what OS you have, which perl version, possibly which CGI version, MD5, Digest::MD5, which mailserver you use (sendmail, qmail, exim, ...) Show us your directory/file permissions. Often problems come from the permissions of your installed neomail files. The suid bit is often not set. So a ls -la of cgi-bin /var/neomail/ /var/spool/mail can help. Where did you get neomail ? Did you download it or was it already installed or is it an rpm package ? Do you run neomail suid ? Tell us about your problem ;-) Show us the corresponding log entries from /var/neomail/neomail.log, from the webserver (in the error log), and possibly from your mailserver (/var/log/mail) Tell us, what you already have done, to identify and solve the problem. Reread your own message ;-) Hit send. To summarise: The quality of the answer mail increases with the quality of the question.
