Corrupt folder

Several emails in my Inbox and a bunch I moved to a new folder are apparently corrupted... I look at the list of emails and they look OK but when I open one, the body of the email is always the same, it's not what was in the original email. What is wrong and how can I fix it? I have some very important information in the emails in the folder I created. Thanks!
