Re: cannot delete my messages

Mr. Ahuja,

  First, make sure NeoMail has all of it's permissions set correctly 
(which will change depending on how you installed it), especially any 
directories it owns.

  Second, check to make sure there is actually space left on the hard 
drive. This is operating system dependant, but under most *ix's, 'dh' 
will work.

  Third, make sure you are not exceeding your file space quota on the 
drive. This is also OS dependant, but under Linux, 'quota' would be the 
command you want.

  If new mail comes in fine, I would be tempted to rule out #2, and 
strongly consider #1 (permission problems) to be the culprit.

  If you don't know whether or not you are using disk quotas, you 
probably aren't - they are not enabled by default, and sometimes are a 
pain to set up, so #3 might be ruled out as well. Also, if new mail 
comes in fine, #3 would be ruled out unless you installed NeoMail in 
Pine-compatability mode, which could still be affected by #3 (though not 
as likely as #1).

I'm laying my bets on #1 - permissions are probably incorrect.
