Where can I get the MD5 and Digest::MD5 that won't conflict with the 
versions already on the system?

You also mentioned patching NeoMail. . .  It is a fresh install of NeoMail 
so what needs to be changed in it to make it work?  That may be all that 
is needed now. . .
