A lot of pain? This question is answered in my unofficial FAQ, as well 
as having been referenced in (quite) a few mailing list messages.

Hrmm, does Jonathan's patch not apply cleanly to neomail 1.26? If not, 
I'll be glad to update my page & host the patch.
