Neomail doesn't care about the DocumentRoot. It only gives a reference to the apache "virtual" root. This means: If you have in image_url -> /images the physical path to an image is: DocumentRoot/images/left.gif The "http path" is: http://server.com/images/left.gif > now I stop/start apache , I refresh browser page many times , but still I > images can not appear ,,, only X sighn .. > I tried right click on any image such as ( logout.gif ) and I saw its path , > is it correct and points to the right place where the image exist , so I do > not think its path problem ... after that , I gave /image 777 permission , > and all files inside /images 777 permission ,,, but same problem ... Again, only the apache error log will tell you (us) what's happening. If it's a permission problem or a "file not found" problem is to be seen in the error log. > I need to ask , after I change anything in neomail.conf , or permission , > shall I stop/start neomail script ?? if yes how ??? If it's a standard apache installation, you do not need to restart apache or neomail, as neomail is everytime interpreted new if you call it. Changes in neomail.conf and neomail.pl are visible in real time. If you change settings in the apache config (httpd.conf) you have to SIG HUP or restart apache (or httpdctrl graceful). > koz I noticed something : when I change anything in neomail.conf file , it > do not update neomail.pl file !! That's not problematic, as neomail.pl parses neomail.conf and gets values from neomail.conf in runtime. > different values .( am talking about images path ) .. so how can I > stop/start neomail !! Everytime you reload your browser you start a new instance of neomail. > for more information , I set up neomail again , and put the right paths for > /images .. and when I right click on image , I can see right path ,,, but > still can not see the images .. is it path or permission problem .. Apache error log tells it. > I do not think its something related to my system ( Solaris 7 , ultra ) > because I can see the neomail.gif image and the background one . So what is the value of $bg_url in neomail.conf ?
