Yes, this is possible.

Don't understand, what you mean with this.

This should be done by the MTA, and if i understand you correctly,
it's already setup this way.

It's not a big thing to implement this. If i remember
corrcetly, this was already discussed here.
But i am not sure, if a patch already was posted.
