Re: Non-latin email addresses dangerous?

We need to separate the email address from the users name
as it exists currently in the 'From' (and other) headers.

Which is why I think that Nathaniel  said in part:

Charset translation is not a big deal  on most platforms.
Separate the user name part from the email address
in the headers-ng. After that you can read and understand
the 'name' or not. And your MUA can display the 'name'
or not.  And it allows the email address to be a ID or tag
that can be  transitioned into 8-bits without breaking
user names.
