And apparently many remote exploits that never got fixed.
When I last tried, ~20 years ago, I never got it all to work.

I don't keep my inbox on a server, it's on my desk once I inc.
That makes it hard to access from the phone.
Also it would be nice to be able to point Thunderbird at the inbox for those
times when I really need to render the HTML part better than mh-e can do.
Also calendar entries.
So I would run an IMAP server on my desktop, maybe on ::1.
And I have public IPv6 on my desktop, so maybe I would open it to world for smartphone.

As you say: none of us have time for this.
