I've been thinking about this, and as much as I appreciate software that is accepting of other software's faults, I think it would be better if Thunderbird were fixed to actually follow the IMAP protocol. I mean, how hard is it for it to do things correctly and just issue an a### LOGOUT before it drops the connection?
