In my case i use mysql as storage for logins. What i mean with authentication method is (PLAN/Certificate/NTLM/....). What do you use in Apple Mail as authentication method? And can you log into cyrus with Apple Mail without an error? Your imap_capability string looks very short. Which version of cyrus you use and on which distribution? I hope that i could help you.
