Hi.
I'm getting a base64 decoding error when trying to view or export a
particular message that came from gmail:
[Error: Formatting error: Illegal '=' in base64 text]
I can decode it fine with Perl's MIME::Base64.
The raw message is available here:
http://jon.endpoint.com/message-pine464-base64-problem.mbox
I'm running Pine 4.64 on Ubuntu x86-64; the dpkg -p details are:
Package: pine
Priority: optional
Section: non-free/mail
Installed-Size: 8540
Maintainer: Pine Team <[email protected]>
Architecture: amd64
Version: 4.64
Provides: mail-reader
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.4-1), libldap2 (>= 2.1.17-1), libncurses5 (>= 5.4-5), libpam0g (>= 0.76), libssl0.9.7, mime-support
Suggests: exim | mail-transport-agent, spell
Size: 3462592
I looked in the archives but didn't find anyone else who's run into this
same problem. It appears to be a bug in the base64 decoder -- perhaps only
when compiled on amd64? Any suggestions on how I could track it down are
welcome.
Thanks,
Jon
