secure pc-pine ldap/imap?

I'm using version 4.64 and am told my my admins that they will soon move to secure IMAP port 993 and secure LDAP port 636, my question is how and is it possible to configure PC-pine to use these ports in a secure fashion? I noticed I can change the ports, but can't find a place to indicate the protocol to use.. does it automatically sense that? If this is not possible, I will have to migrate off of pine, after about 10 years of usage... thanks for the support.. I looked at the FAQ and noticed it said all versions have SSL/TLS built in.. but I need a bit more specifics here.
