Hi all,

I've figured out what the problem is. Dovecot creates an index file for
every folder when it is first accessed. In pine, saving a message will
fail if the destination folder does not have an index created. The
message will get marked as deleted but not saved in the destination folder.

The reason why saving worked 100% of the time the second time around was
that the user would go into the folder to check if it had saved
properly. The act of looking at the folder would create the index file
for that folder. Therefore when saving the message again, it would work.

I've tested this behavior in other mail clients but only pine fails to
copy messages into folders which don't have an index. Is this a bug
with pine?

Thanks,

Nick
