On Aug 22, 2006, Cornelius C. Noack ([email protected]) typed: noack: I get lots of spam mail with the characteristic that the text noack: (always in the subject field, sometimes even in the sender field, noack: and of course in the body as well) is written in the ISO 1022-jp code noack: set, rather than iso-8859-1 (which I assume/hope is the standard). noack: noack: Since I never - in over 8 years - ever saw this code set (1022) noack: used in any serious mail to me, I would like to filter my incoming noack: mail for any that uses the iso 1022-jp code set in the subject field. noack: noack: So I have 2 related questions: noack: (1) is there any argument against doing that? noack: (2) how do I set the filter accordingly ? I tried looking for the noack: sequence '[iso-1022-jp]'; but as I feared before even trying, noack: that didn't work. You should be able to create a filter to search the AllText for ISO-1022-jp. Then act on it accordingly. Failing that, Id recommend install/configuring Procmail or other email filtering program. Thanks Birl --- Please do not CC me responses to my own posts.
