for the record, some banks and financial services co's may prefer mozilla
software, but definitely not the majority. (i say that based on having written
a couple large financial transaction processing systems, and having interacted
with some of the big players.)

the main concerns are usually 1) SSL/TLS encryption and key length, 2) cert
handling, and 3) browser security holes. in recent history, at least, i'm not
sure that IE's track record on those is significantly worse than firefox's.
even if it is, most of the financial co's haven't changed their stance...yet.

of course, public opinion might differ, but public opinion rarely reflects
just the facts. :P
