Good day fellow PINE users,
I've been getting errors from PINE while using it to access my Domino
7.0.2 mailbox via IMAP. The problem crops up when I delete mail from my
mail folder from another client while PINE is open.
The text of the error is:
- [Error getting message 8 data], as well as:
- {domino : Unknown message data: 8 EXP
It looks like the problem is that Domino issues an EXISTS command before
the EXPUNGE, as follows:
0000002d FETCH 14 BODY[1]
* 14 FETCH (BODY[1] {507}
<< removed for brevity >>
FLAGS (\Seen))
0000002d OK FETCH completed
0000002e STORE 13 +Flags (\DELETED)
* 13 FETCH (FLAGS (\Seen \Deleted))
* 13 EXISTS
* 14 EXPUNGE
0000002e OK STORE completed
>From what I could extract from RFC 2060, it would seem as though this
behaviour is incorrect. "There's 13 messages in this folder. Oh, by the
way, delete message 14." seems wrong to me. :)
So, the big question here is this legal by the RFC and PINE should handle
it? Or is it Domino that is at fault here for not making sense.
