That is just a warning to you that your password will be send unencrypted over the network. Probably the reason for this in your case is that you have "NOTLS" in your configuration. When TLS is used the entire conversation, including the password, will be encrypted. If you ISP supports IMAP you might be happier using that instead of POP.
