The vim author did a talk at Google a few days ago and afterwards I mentioned the problem I've mentioned here where I get: Alt editor failed, use file /var/tmp/pico.049810 of size 206 chars anyway ? every once in a while. Well, I found the problem. If vim gets any error, including searching for text that's not found (like if I do /ZZZ right now in vim launched from pine), then vim returns an error. I could ask on the vim mailing list, but it sounded like there wasn't a way in vim to stop this behavior. Do I really have to make a script that launches vim as a workaround to ignore the return value? Is there any way I can do this in pine itself instead? _______________________________________________ Pine-info mailing list [email protected] http://mailman1.u.washington.edu/mailman/listinfo/pine-info
