Hello. On the web page at http://www.washington.edu/pine/getpine/linux.html , PINE builds are available as packages in the .rpm and .deb formats. In trying to instal the Debian package, on Debian etch (Debian stable), I got the following. "dpkg -i pine_4.64_i386.deb (Reading database ... 121137 files and directories currently installed.) Preparing to replace pine 4.64 (using pine_4.64_i386.deb) ... Unpacking replacement pine ... dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of pine: pine depends on libssl0.9.7; however: Package libssl0.9.7 is not installed. dpkg: error processing pine (--install): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured Errors were encountered while processing: pine " In checking with Synaptic, I found that I have libssl0.9.8 installed on the computer. When I went back to the above web page, I found the text "Debian .deb package built on Debian GNU/Linux 3.0" Now, Debian etch is Debian 4.0, and Debian 3.0 was Debian woody (I think). So, the question is this; Could someone please create a build for Debian 4.0, and publish it with a link on the above web page (so I do not have to ssh into my old computer, to run PINE), so that it is kept up with the latest stable version of Debian? Thank you in anticipation. -- Bret Busby Armadale West Australia ..............
