using roles composing new messages

I sometimes use pine Roles to reply to particular messages or to setup a 
particular header. In the latter case I invoke the role explicitly with # 
when composing a new message.

I wonder whether there is way to automatically force a particular role 
when I compose a new message to a specific address. This does not appear 
obvious from the documentation.

The case is that of a mailing list to which I'm subscribed with a domain 
alias different from the one I normally use. For administrative reasons 
the address in the mailing list cannot be changed.

I wonder whether there is a way that I Compose, do not select a role, 
enter an address in the To: field and the role is chosen at this stage 
(essentially changing the From: automatically).
