Jeepers, there's nothing to making an addressbook if you know how. Thanks for the refresher below. I had been fiddling with this a while back. I've had lists over the years (been using Pine since about '95) and then forget. With the current technology, I'd like to be able to grab a csv file off of Gmail and put it in Alpine for safekeeping as backup. Gamilallows me to hand off the list to other group members regardless of OS. Does the file list need any manipulation to run as an addressbook in Alpine? > On Thu, 17 Jul 2008 17:45:49 -0700, Matt Ackeret wrote: > >> On Thu, 17 Jul 2008, Beartooth wrote: > >>>> Well, this won't help find duplicates, but in 5 seconds of playing >>>> (I'm not trying to be snotty), I found that I can : to select items in >>>> an address book, and 'apply save' them to another address book. >>> >>> I wouldn't've thought you were -- just noticed that you know how >>>to create a new addressbook, and I don't have a clue even to find out >>>how. >> >> That I was what -- being snotty? > > Right.
