So, instead you're maintaining a version of an ancient MTA that most
consider to have been long since obsoleted by postfix and others? this
attitude makes no sense. What's the issue with supporting FreeBSD/NetBSD?
Lack of testers?

I was considering eQmail until I read this message; I use a combination of
Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, and SmartOS. I'm not trying to start an OS fight
here, but what's your meterstick for determining an operating system is
"historical" and "running in the basement" ?

If you've made a Linux-only qmail variant, you've taken away most of the
appeal of qmail for me. Not only that, but not testing it on other unix
variants sounds like laziness and unwillingness to write portable code.
