I don't think a fresh start would do much good for those who trust the 
architecture. I propose building on something like JMS1's combined patch 
set. John was keen to prevent a stock script, like QMR which often 
created unwise admins.

There is merit to John's approach. There is also merit to the feature 
kitchen sink of postfix. I would like to help with efforts, but I 
wouldn't want to help reinvent the wheel.
