TLS problem

Hi,

I need to send email to someone who use M$ Exchange, but fail to do so.
Usually, my servers run with TLS and the docs mention that qmail-remote
uses STARTTLS & friends even without a certificate being present. Doing
so with this peer results in this error:

delivery 124400: deferral: TLS_not_available:_connect_failed:_error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0)/

How do I further debug this, and/or force plain SMTP for some domains
and/or hosts, please (short of hacking qmail-remote.c, that is)?
