[cid:[email protected]]<http://www.acens.com> Hi, We have been using pbsdbd for years without any problem, but some days ago it started to fail with the next message: "pbsdbd: fatal: cache corrupted" After analyzing the source code, we found that hash function in pbsdbd.c returns 0 for some IP addresses, which causes above message and makes pbsdbd to die and start again with an empty table. It can be reproduced inserting twice, for example next IP: 4.214.93.234. The probability to get a 0 in the hash function is low, about 0.00037% over 2^32 IP addresses, but it's a real problem if one of your clients has one of these addresses. Have you ever had this problem? Do you know any way to fix it? Thanks in advance. Diego Chaparro González Departamento de Sistemas acens Technologies S.L.
