CNAME lookup failed temporarily. (#4.4.3)

Anyone,

I'm running qmail-ldap-1.03-20060201.patch which has the big dns patch, 
but I'm starting to get errors with yahoo.com and a cname lookup 
failures. If i query yahoo.com with dig

dig @216.187.125.130 yahoo.com mx
...
MSG SIZE  rcvd: 509

the response seems less than the 512 size defined in PACKETSZ or even in 
the patch dns.c where they adjust to 65536

Not sure what I could/should do to get email to send to russellsimpkins 
at yahoo.com

thoughts?
