Fwd: Block files from extension

The file is called quarantine-events.txt

To quarantine a certain type of file for example .bat files:

.bat SIZE=-1 BAT files not allowed per Company security policy

If you want to block all attachments then you use:

.* SIZE=-1 Attachments Quarantined per Company security policy

remember between the first, second, and third fields, you have to use Tabs NOT spaces or it will not work. The format is listed below.

<filename><TAB>SIZE=<size in bytes><TAB><Description of whatever this particular does>

REMEMBER: run "/var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl -g" after the quarantine-attachments.txt modified or your new settings will not take effect. It should come back with number of rules or something and not an error.

Subject: [Qmail-scanner-general] Block files from extension

 Hi,

How can i block files from their extension ?

It's been a long time since using qmail-scanner.
There used to be a file named quarantine-attachments.txt where we can
insert, for example:

.exe 0

to block .exe files.

Now, it seems that this isn't the way anymore.

Can someone point me in the right direction, please ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Warm Regards,
