qmail-scanner-queue and validrcptto patch don't want to work together

Hi,
I'm rying to get validrcptto to work. I'm using the patch from
http://www.lukasfeiler.com/rocketscience/qmail/ but all the other
patches that are in this patch, I have already been using before. Now
as soon as I use this additional patch, I see errors like

X-Qmail-Scanner-1.25st:[mail119046629171810478] Unable to open pipe
to /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue [65] (#4.3.0) - 
X-Qmail-Scanner-1.25st:[mail119046629171810478] Unable to close pipe
to /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue [65] (#4.3.0) - Illegal seek

and even (occasionally)

X-Qmail-Scanner-1.25st: Process 10027 closed, parent process died

in the logs. The files that correspond to the mentioned emails
in /var/spool/qmailscan/tmp and /var/spool/qmailscan/working exist. I
have no clue what could be going wrong there. The error sounds to me as
if a file was not properly accessible but without this patch,
everything is fine.

Any hints?
