This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_004F_01C8CC7E.284ED620 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi - hoping someone can offer some help / advice with the above. I have an old qmail server running on Sun hardware that uses maildirsmtp to send mail to a customers "Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service" which has been working fine for years. I needed to migrate this onto new hardware but using Centos 5.0, the server is setup in the exact same way, same configs, same IP's etc. but the maildirsmtp fails with the following error BUT only for this 1 customer out of about 100 or so other mail servers that I send mail to: serialsmtp: fatal: network read error: timed out serialsmtp: fatal: network read error: timed out serialsmtp: fatal: network read error: timed out maildirserial: fatal: making no progress, giving up The command run is: (well I've amended the domain name & IP a bit) maildirsmtp ~vpopmail/domains/whatever.co.uk/smtp/Maildir/ "" 2xx.1xx.2xx.1xx 10.10.10.134 If I telnet to the IP in question on port 25 I can successfully send a test email which is received, I've had a google for this error and although several results were returned nothing really helped. Running a tcpdump whilst the maildirsmtp is running also shows communication between the two hosts but I'm now at a loss as to why this doesn't work. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.
