Strategy for massive spamming?

Would serialmail be able to send off a Maildir with a size on the order of
1 million messages? How long would this take on a typical box if bandwidth
is not an issue?

I was thinking about using ezmlm, but it isn't an option because we need
to merge in recipients' first names into the message.
