try using a ftp graphical program, e.g. filezilla, or plain ftp
from a command window or a terminal, with username "ftp" or
"anonymous" and your email address as password. For some reason,
the server refuses anonymous logins coming from a web browser
(tried with galeon and mozilla running on gnu/linux).

The program comes with detailed instructions in the INSTALL
file. Read it carefully and if you cannot get it to work come
back for further assistance.

check that the subscreen program is in the same directory where
"subscribe" and "confirm" are found, and that it is executable.
