Hello Everybody,

ASK 2.5.0 (beta) has been released. This version brings "SMTP Validation" a=
nd
the ability to deliver mails to pipes.

SMTP validation tries to authenticate the sender by opening an SMTP
connection to the sending server and simulating an email delivery. Given
the right conditions, ASK can tell right away whether a sender is invalid
or not, and discard the spam without adding one more entry to the queue.
This feature needs the Python ADNS or pydns modules installed in your
system. You'll find more details on how to activate this feature in the
sample_askrc file.

Besides mbox and Maildir mailbox formats, ASK now supports delivery to
pipes. This option opens a number of possibilities and fixes some old
problems with remote commands for procmail users. Again, please check the
sample_askrc file for details.

Please help us test versions before they become "stable". We've been using
2.5.0 for quite some time now, but bugs have a way of eluding the developers
and only showing themselves to users.
