WebASK 9.0 Coming Soon

For those of you who dont know, webask is a frontend for administrating 
your queue's with ASK. Its written in PHP and looks very nice. Its home 
is at ( http://www.sf.net/projects/webask ).

What to expect with version 9.0--
Authentication
Lots and lots of bug fixes.
Script for automation of setup on accounts.

What i have done is create a script for use with php to be run from the 
command line that will do everything except flush the toilet.
It does the following..
create user in /etc/pass
mkdir /home/user and set permissions
touch mailfile and set permisssions
copy .ask/ and custom .askrc template (modified by script using vars you 
enter when you run the script so there is NO need to even edit the 
.askrc file)
set permissions on that so its readable/writeable from webask
create .forward file and chmod 600
and a few others.

You can now setup ask in a central location /usr/bin/ask/* for my script 
and setup webask in a central location (ie: ask.yourdomain.com)
It authenticates off of your pop3 server (can be remote or local) to 
allow access to your queue files.

Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery and bug testing

This release pretty much makes it easy to host gobs of ask users (maybe 
a premium service for your customers?)
it assumes the following
User home dirs are in /home/username
mailfile is /var/spool/mail/username
ask in central location /usr/bin/ask/*
uses .forward files
pop3 on localhost for authentication, and retreival of messages.
