OK... this was not sendmail actually but a light-weight clone,
"nullmailer".

No, forget about it: let's just call it a workaround for a poor
sendmail clone. I'll still use it though.

It was faster to code this workaround in ASK (Python) than to
fix the bug in nullmailer (C) :->
