install prob

Hi folks,

I'm installing ASK on a new box & after having followed the instructions 
(I think), mail isn't passing at all.

If I remove the .forward file (using sendmail here) mail does pass. 
When in there are no error msgs that I can find & no ask.log file is 
generated.

Can anyone suggest a course of action for tracking down the problem?

The box isn't on the net yet.  I'm testing it between local users at the 
moment.  The box is fedora core2
