Hi Darryl,

There are a few ways to deal with it, depending on your degree of
control over your mail server, whether you have your own domain, etc,
etc.

I, for instance, make extensive use of email extensions. Say, I open an
account on abcde.org. Instead of providing [email protected] as my
address, I'd provide [email protected]. I have a "catchall" setting
that sends *@paganini.net to a single account. I then add this email to my
"To" in the whitelist.

Besides, I use ASK in conjunction with spamoracle and spamassassin. If
spamoracle and spamassassin agree a message is not spam, it gets delivered
to me. If they both agree it is spam, it get sent directly to the spam
folder. If they disagree, the message is passed down to ASK for the usual
processing.
