There is not much else that can be done to validate remote emails, except for what ASK already does: To send a challenge. The SMTP validation feature works in *some* cases, but I've had some reports of people being "blacklisted" because paranoia is widespread, and certain sysadmins think the "probe" used by ASK is some kind of spambot.
