processing queue doesn't complete

Hi Folks: Forgive me if this is a FAQ but I couldn't find it in the FAQ or the archives that I read. When I submit a reply to an ask process queue, it doesn't complete so I may have to repeate the process many times to get through the entire queue. It typically does about a hundred entries and then seems to just quit. I cannot find any indication for the processing to stop in the ask.log. I would certainly appreciate any hints because it is pretty tedious trying to get through an ask process queue with six or seven thousand entries. I also see this same behaviour on all my machines running ask which is currently five. I am running ask 2.5.3 as a reference.
