  Why not set up a mailing list, and just have everyone mail patches to that 
when they wish to commit.  Anyone who wants a copy of the git repo could (in 
theory, at least) just have a procmail rule to apply anything from that 
mailing list.
  I'm skimming git-format-patch and git-am, which make it look like this might 
at least be possible in theory.
