Thanks for the tests reports - I'll check them out on monday
(something came up which required _immediate_ attention).

Quick half answer while I got to go:

between build 1954 and 1960 I changed configure.ac to check for TRE in
a different way; there's a little devil in the back of my head telling
me I screwed up the -Llibpath then.

the .inpout files _must_ be there - the fact that they're not means I
b0rked the releases. Why the .input's? Because _any_ change to those
text files (and I added and fixed a bits in there) will result in
megatest to report (quite) different numbers. You don't want that when
you want to make sure the code matches Bill's 'master copy', so I made
sure the tests are independent of documentation changes (see QUICKREF
for example: added cssutil-like commands for the script laguage. To Be
Done, but this was in there for a few rels already following the
discussion of merging the css tools and crm itself to make sure the
tools are up to date considering the classifer formats and types. See
the classifier source code files: at the end of each, there's a set of
stubs for this stuff. Sorry, this requires a longer explanation maybe,
but no time for that right now.

The ULTRA long run times make me wonder. I've found similar results
when the CSS files are shared across the network: I've tested this
stuff on Win32 using CSS files on a SAMBA share and boy, does that
slow down the whole shebang!
On the 64-bit dev box with CSS files locally (and no Vitual
Machine-ing here: each platform is running flat on the hardware == one
hardware for each test platform) the tests complete in a few minutes.
Though I concede these take quite a bit longer than 1' there
(3.something GHz AMD64) - more in the range of 5'


And I don't know anymore if I checked make megatest in 1960: at least
it should do this:
cd src
make megatest_ng

because megatest_ng is the one using those input files (some really
wicked little differences in input feed when redirecting on UNIX and
Win32, especially if you conjure up an equiv. for the bash input redir
code in megatest: each of those test blocks has been moved to its own
.input file to make sure I don't get bitten by shells playing fancy on
me for CR/LF conversion.
