Like I said in the other mail today, you got me speechless there.

Can any UNIX wiz on the list falsify/accord my statement that a UNIX
shell 'for' loop does /not/ parallelize the action block code within
the for loop, i.e. I say a for loop executes each of the crm114
invocations  /in sequence/ and /waits/ for each to finish before
starting the next one? Just so we can discard the most obvious cause
for timing-related errors: intermitant process overload/overflow in
the kernel or shell.

Another thing: Jason, does the file size, 'last changed' or 'last
created' times of that .mfp change once you've run the testloop like
that?


I'm all ears for any ideas about this, because this feels like it
needs some 'deep digging' (i.e. code editing / SSH accounts / ...)
again. Dang.

I'll have to think some more about this one...
