Re: Mixed 64-bit system GerH binaries / BillY scripts

I tend to agree with Jaakko: by now most new deployments are 64-bit 
based - if you don't take into account Windows desktops, that is :-)

Sure, 32-bit - or even lesser platforms - are going to dominate the 
market by sheer volumes (PDA, smartphones, netbooks and the like), but 
I don't foresee their increasing number making a big dent - if any - in 
the number of CRM installations worldwide...

Me, I've switched to 64-bit for the hell of it: I was just plain tired 
of running 32-bit code onto 64-bit-capable hardware. And never looked 
back since, by the way.

Honestly I cannot quantify the improvements - if any at all - because 
last year I have switched my test lab to a full 64-bit environment, onto 
new HW , and with the (then) newest & greatest CRM114 version. Apples 
and oranges...

My gut feeling says there's not much of a difference, anyway, but then I 
might well be wrong.

About 64-bit CRM's reliability, I'm still sticking to (now ancient) 
version "20071015-BlameGerHobbelt", which didn't break a sweat under 
any conditions in the past 10 months. That's something, in my book.
