finally, i managed to get the 'Floating point exception' into the logfile. i used strace (thank you, paolo) and the following command: strace /usr/local/crm114/bin/crm114 -t -T -w 152500000 topic-classifier.crm > logfile.txt 2>&1 and the resulting logfile now resides at: http://gandalf.uib.no/aviskorpus/emneklassifisering/ the exception is the second last line.
