------=_NextPart_000_0081_01C72500.DBDD0030 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit To Whom It May Concern: The following is a snippet from the log file from MDaemon that shows what happens if we use list.dsbl.org to try to trap spam - it does a great job on the problem emails, and we really want to use it, but in this case, it doesn't allow an email sent from me to Chuck in the same domain. Here're the particulars: Our office uses BellSouth DSL to connect - we use Outlook as our email client - Outlook is configured to check our email server (mail.a-closer-look.com) for incoming emails first (forcing a logon authentication) before accepting any outgoing emails. Our office static IP is 70.155.100.149 . when MDaemon does its due diligence and checks the IP from the inbound email request, it uses the 'standard' 4 DNS-BL lookups - however, it fails on list.dsbl.org - when I've tried to check the connecting IP on your site, it's not listed . all I'm trying to do is find out why the check fails for the BellSouth IP from our office. When I remove list.dsbl.org from the lookup, our internal emails go through fine, but we're getting dozens of spam hits per hour per account that your site would catch and we'd like to eliminate the hassle of having to manually delete them. Please help! Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated . Thx, George A.
