Would it be possible to lose the "nice try though?"

It would be good if the phrase "nice try though" could be dropped. Even better if a diagnostic could be added. In my understanding, the condition that triggers this reply is an inconsistency in the DNS (if I recall correctly, either an inconsistency in the PTR or in the MX/A records). How about: "Inconsistency in the DNS records for 1.2.3.4. The most common cause for this is that not all your nameservers (or your ISP's nameservers) give correct data. DNS verification failed, please try again later". To me, it would sound like a nicer way to tell the sorcerer's apprentice who visits the removal system to go and fix his DNS. Of course, that would only be true if my interpretation of the situation is correct. Any ideas? ---------------------------------------------- This message was sent to the opt-in DSBL list.
