Test results from anonymous users are entered into the 
unconfirmed.dsbl.org list. Only the truly brave use this list for 
blocking mail. However, I am running a script that periodically picks 
up new submissions to unconfirmed and attempts to verify these. With a 
little bit of luck your submission will be promoted to the main list 
within an hour or so. That depends on whether or not I can reproduce 
the security problem. Abused servers are often under heavy load, so 
there is a chance that I cannot connect just because the server is too 
busy. On the average I get a 50% success rate.

So, if you'll be submitting only a handful of entries, there is no need 
for trusted tester status. On the other hand, if you'll be submitting 
hundreds of IP numbers or so then the advantage of trusted tester 
status is that your submissions will immediately appear in the main 
list and you get a higher yield.

I would say: try the anonymous submission first and ask again once 
you've listed a hundred IPs or so.

While I have everyone's attention on this subject: it appears that
requests for new tester accounts do not always get the attention they
deserve. When I applied, I got an answer within a couple of hours or
so, but I have not seen a response to the recent applications of
finhosting and mr Tsukamoto. Did I miss something?
