Keep in mind that hashcash is not based on hash collisions.  It uses
partial pre-images of zero (meaning, strings whoses hashes are close to
the all-zero string).  Most commentators agree that the new techniques
will not work to find pre-images.  Chances are that means they will not
be able to accelerate finding partial pre-images either.
