It's a question of does the opportunity cost as defined by the revenue per message and the message rate support the cost of running this box and re-architecting your zombie network to ask for stamps from a central server. Another way of looking at the problem is asking which is more efficient and cost-effective, a dedicated computation engine or a distributed stamp generation engine (i.e. a bunch of zombies) -- Speech-recognition in use. It makes mistakes, I correct some.
